About this role
Role overview
Lead HR and payroll data migration and integration work across implementations of enterprise HR platforms. You’ll guide client projects from assessing legacy data through validated go-live loads, while designing and delivering the connections that link HR systems with payroll, benefits, finance, and other services.
Responsibilities
- Plan migration scope, data objects, load sequences, cutover steps, and rollback approaches. - Profile legacy data, identify quality issues, coordinate cleansing, and define mappings and transformations for target systems. - Build, run, and reconcile migration loads through test cycles, mock conversions, and production cutover; report on completeness and accuracy. - Gather integration needs and document data flows, transformations, security, scheduling, and error handling. - Build and test interfaces with platform tools or middleware, resolve issues during end-to-end and payroll testing, and define ongoing monitoring and support. - Explain technical decisions to business stakeholders, contribute to project estimates and reusable tools, and coach junior colleagues.
Requirements
- Multiple full-lifecycle migration projects using at least one of SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Oracle HCM. - Experience designing, specifying, building, and testing integrations. - Hands-on ETL experience and confidence working with large, imperfect datasets. - Knowledge of HR and payroll data structures, personal data sensitivities, and the need for accurate cutover loads. - Experience validating and reconciling data across test and production loads. - Clear communication with technical teams and HR stakeholders; UK right to work and willingness to travel to client sites when needed.
Nice to have
- Experience with more than one target platform, payroll migration, or parallel-run reconciliation. - Familiarity with platform tools such as Workday EIB, Core Connectors or Studio; SAP Integration Suite or Infoporter; or Oracle HDL or OIC. - Knowledge of UK GDPR, professional services or legal-sector clients, and consulting delivery.
