Technical Data Management Specialist - remote from EU - Deadline 12/11/26

Role overview

Build and improve information management systems that help organizations ingest, organize, search, preserve, and exchange data. The work spans technical delivery—from pipelines and APIs to semantic search—as well as metadata design, requirements, and governance documentation. This is a remote role for candidates based in Europe.

Responsibilities

- Develop data ingestion, indexing, and enrichment pipelines, along with search relevance settings and semantic search capabilities. - Design metadata models, JSON schemas, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and data publication or exchange solutions. - Contribute to records management, digital preservation, and archiving system components. - Plan data integration and migration, and provide recommendations on information management policies and strategy. - Build REST APIs, monitoring dashboards, and integrations for AI-assisted workflows. - Prepare architecture and governance documentation, sharing deliverables through suitable channels and following approval workflows where required.

Requirements

- At least 15 years of experience with Java, JavaScript, and SQL. - At least 15 years of experience integrating RESTful APIs. - At least 2 years of experience with Elasticsearch. - At least 2 years of experience with semantic search and AI or machine learning. - EU citizenship; the stated delivery arrangement is remote from Europe.
