Senior Backend Software Engineer | IDX Team

Role overview A senior backend engineering role sits on the Identity Experience team, which owns the services behind account creation, account management, account recovery, and permissions for a global wellness subscription platform. The work is fully remote within Brazil and centers on building highly available systems that serve millions of users while advancing AI-assisted engineering practices across the team.

Responsibilities - Own and evolve critical identity services including signup, profile management, permissions, and account recovery flows. - Architect and build scalable, resilient backend services and microservices designed for global traffic. - Tune performance, reliability, and infrastructure efficiency across the core service surface. - Design and ship new product features with a high degree of autonomy, from concept through operation. - Champion AI-assisted development practices that raise engineering velocity and quality standards. - Partner with international product, design, and platform teams to deliver cohesive identity experiences.

Requirements - Prior production experience building and operating distributed backend systems at scale (mandatory). - Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or comparable backend languages. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms. - Deep familiarity with scalable databases such as PostgreSQL, plus cloud-native architectures on AWS or Google Cloud. - Comfort owning projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation and operation. - Clear communication skills, with the confidence to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions. - High AI fluency, including practical use of LLMs and AI-assisted development tools.
