Role overview This part-time, remote internship supports a multi-cloud research and evaluation lab used to run proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements for clients. The work centers on building infrastructure as code, automating environment lifecycle, and contributing to security tool evaluations and agentic harnesses. It is a hands-on, mentorship-driven role for technically strong learners ready to operate in production-representative environments.
Responsibilities - Assist in designing and deploying multi-cloud lab environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform and Ansible - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline work in GitHub Actions to provision, configure, and tear down lab environments - Write, test, and maintain reusable infrastructure-as-code modules within a version-controlled repository - Support environment builds for security tool proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements, from requirements through teardown - Help execute security tool evaluations across categories such as vulnerability management, CNAPP, EDR, application security, and AI security - Contribute to agentic harnesses that drive vendor products through client-defined test cases, integrating with AI and LLM APIs
Requirements - Hands-on experience with at least one infrastructure-as-code tool such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or equivalent - Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree program in computer science, engineering, or a related field - Exposure to scripting or programming in Python, Bash, or similar languages, with an interest in automation - Enthusiasm for cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and security tool evaluation - Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce precise technical documentation
Benefits and work setup - Part-time remote paid internship at $20 per hour, running 12 weeks with potential for full-time conversion - 25-29 hours per week, Monday through Friday, aligned to Eastern Time Zone hours - Must be physically located in the United States with a personal computing device and high-speed internet - Position not open to candidates residing in Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming
