Senior .NET Engineer

Role overview A senior backend engineering role focused on designing, building, and maintaining production microservices within an iGaming and entertainment advisory and services business. The position emphasizes reliable, observable services that support core domain flows such as accounts, authentication, and wallets, with shared responsibility for deployment, operations, and code quality.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain backend services in .NET (C#), evolving microservices in a production environment. - Support existing functionality, ensuring backward compatibility across releases. - Develop core domain flows including accounts, registration, authentication, wallet, and related business capabilities. - Build asynchronous, event-driven integrations using message brokers and contribute to system design improvements. - Optimize relational database usage and query performance, and address performance or memory bottlenecks. - Contribute to observability (logs, metrics, traces, dashboards), Kubernetes deployment configurations, and GitOps-based operations. - Collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure changes including Terraform workflows, participate in on-call rotations, and perform high-quality code reviews.

Requirements - 5+ years of commercial backend development with C# / .NET (6+) and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core. - Solid grasp of microservices architecture and distributed systems. - Experience with asynchronous communication, event-driven architectures, and message brokers such as Kafka. - Strong relational database knowledge including SQL, transactions, indexing, and performance tuning (PostgreSQL a plus), plus ORM experience such as Entity Framework. - Familiarity with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) and software design principles such as SOLID. - Experience with unit and integration tests, production observability and monitoring, and troubleshooting performance and memory issues. - Upper-Intermediate English, plus strong communication, multitasking, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility.

Nice to have - Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. - Familiarity with observability tooling such as Grafana, Loki, and Tempo.
