About this role
Role overview Support the installation, integration, and ongoing maintenance of software and automation systems tied to in vitro diagnostic instruments across Italy. The position is remote and field-based, serving customer laboratories and internal teams while ensuring reliable connectivity between instruments and laboratory information systems.
Responsibilities - Deliver remote and on-site technical support for software, automation systems, and diagnostic devices installed at customer sites and internal laboratories - Install, configure, test, and commission software solutions, automation platforms, and diagnostic systems against technical specifications - Integrate diagnostic instruments with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) to ensure correct data exchange - Support instrument validation, qualification, acceptance testing, and go-live activities - Train customers on installed software applications, automation workflows, and system operation - Collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturers to resolve complex software, connectivity, and automation issues
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, IT, or a related field - Background in technical support, laboratory software, medical devices, diagnostic instrumentation, automation systems, or IT environments - Knowledge of software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance - Understanding of LIS systems, instrument interfacing, and data communication protocols - Familiarity with computer networks, operating systems, databases, and cybersecurity principles - Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements for medical devices and IVD contexts - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard support tooling - Good written and spoken English

Benefits and work setup - Italian CCNL Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi at level 3 - Annual base salary range of €30,500-€33,500 - Fully remote within Italy with field travel
