Role overview A customer-facing pre-sales position focused on the Mid Market segment in Canada. The role partners with Account Executives to shape deal strategy, run discovery, and deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes. It blends sales engineering, solution consulting, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
Responsibilities - Co-own deal strategy with Account Executives, leading discovery conversations and delivering high-impact demos that move prospects through the buying process. - Build customized demonstrations that speak to both technical and operational stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle. - Translate customer pain points into clear, actionable solutions tied to business value and ROI. - Track the competitive landscape and support Account Executives on displacement and expansion opportunities. - Develop deep product expertise on the current platform while contributing insight on future capabilities. - Respond to RFIs and RFPs, and act as a connector between Sales and cross-functional teams so customer feedback informs product and go-to-market decisions.
Requirements - At least 3 years in a customer-facing pre-sales or solutions engineering role supporting Mid Market or comparable segments, ideally in SaaS and/or hardware. - Bachelor's degree preferred, with an advanced degree considered a plus. - Willingness to travel approximately 15-20%. - Familiarity with value-based selling or solution engineering frameworks such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, Demo2Win, or Great Demo!. - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences. - Experience with APIs, integrations, and technical solution design, plus a track record of supporting complex solution sales cycles.
