Full-Stack Engineer (Ruby on Rails + React)

Role overview Own full-stack product work for US-based clients, taking features from planning through delivery across database, backend, and user interface. You’ll also serve as a technical point of contact in client meetings, helping clarify needs, communicate progress, and explain engineering decisions. The role is based in Montevideo with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain backend features with Ruby on Rails and frontend features with React. - Manage work from project planning through implementation and delivery. - Meet with US clients to discuss requirements, progress, and technical trade-offs. - Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to engineering standards. - Explain technical topics clearly to clients, including non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements - At least five years of professional full-stack engineering experience. - Strong practical experience with Ruby on Rails and React. - Excellent spoken and written English for direct client communication. - A dependable, self-directed approach to owning work. - Clear communication skills and the ability to make technical topics understandable.

Nice to have - Experience leading projects or teams. - Experience working with remote or international clients.
