Senior Software Engineer (RoR/Go), SSCS: Authentication

Role overview A senior software engineering position on an authentication-focused service team responsible for the systems that handle user identity and access. The role spans both Ruby on Rails and Go codebases as the service is built and scaled. It is a remote role open to candidates in Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain authentication services and supporting infrastructure - Contribute across Ruby on Rails and Go codebases as the service evolves - Improve reliability, scalability, and security of identity-related components - Collaborate with product, security, and other engineering teams on cross-cutting concerns - Participate in code review, design discussions, and engineering best practices

Requirements - Several years of professional software engineering experience at a senior level - Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Go for production systems - Familiarity with authentication, identity, single sign-on, or related security domains - Experience building distributed services at scale - Solid grasp of web application security fundamentals - Comfort working remotely across distributed engineering teams
