Role overview

A senior backend engineering role focused on a Go-based service that provides scalable Git repository storage for a multi-tenant developer platform. The position centers on the performance, reliability, and scalability challenges inherent to serving many tenants from a single system. It is a remote role based in Poland.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain features for a distributed, multi-tenant Git repository service written in Go - Profile and improve performance, throughput, and resource utilization at scale - Write thorough tests, documentation, and runbooks for the components you own - Collaborate with infrastructure, product, and support teams on operational readiness - Participate in code review and mentor other engineers on Go idioms and distributed design - Contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis, and capacity planning

Requirements

- Several years of professional backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in Go - Solid grasp of distributed systems concepts such as concurrency, replication, fault tolerance, and consistency - Experience operating production services and debugging performance or reliability issues - Comfort working remotely and asynchronously in a globally distributed team - Familiarity with Git internals, protocols, or storage formats

Nice to have

- Contributions to open source projects, especially within the Go or Git ecosystem - Experience with multi-tenant architectures and large-scale storage systems - Background in observability tooling, profiling, and capacity planning
