Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of data platform engineers working on shared infrastructure - Set technical direction for foundational data systems, balancing reliability with iteration speed - Coordinate with analytics, product, and security stakeholders on platform needs and standards - Drive hiring, onboarding, and career growth within the team - Lead incident response and post-mortem practice for the data platform - Ensure data quality, governance, and documentation standards are met
Requirements
- Prior experience managing engineering teams that own data platforms or shared infrastructure - Strong engineering background, ideally with hands-on work in data systems - Familiarity with data warehousing, batch and streaming pipelines, and orchestration tooling - Excellent written communication skills suited to a remote, async-first environment - Experience balancing long-term platform investment with shorter-term feature delivery
