Senior Ground Enterprise Systems Engineer

Role overview A senior SETA systems engineering role providing technical leadership and integration support for enterprise software development platforms within a federal ground enterprise program. The position bridges platform architecture, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and multi-domain operations, advising government leadership on modernization and risk.

Responsibilities - Lead SETA systems engineering, architecture, and integration for enterprise software development platforms and capabilities - Advise government leadership on platform architecture, modernization, integration, security, and technical risk - Assess enterprise platforms, development environments, tools, and engineering approaches for secure, scalable, sustainable solutions - Identify technical dependencies, integration gaps, architectural issues, and modernization opportunities and recommend solutions - Lead development of system architectures, technical designs, engineering strategies, requirements, and roadmaps - Coordinate complex engineering activities across government, development, cybersecurity, infrastructure, acquisition, and mission stakeholders - Mentor technical personnel and support engineering reviews

Requirements - Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, with the ability to maintain it - Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of experience, Master's with 10-13 years, or PhD with 10+ years (or equivalent professional experience) - Extensive experience architecting or integrating complex software development platforms, enterprise infrastructure, or software-intensive systems - Background working with development environments across multiple security domains - Strong understanding of secure cross-domain architectures, security boundaries, interfaces, and data movement - Experience with FOSS and commercial/OEM software integration, patching, lifecycle management, and technical dependencies - Solid grasp of modern software development and DevSecOps environments - Demonstrated leadership of complex technical integration efforts and multidisciplinary engineering teams - Ability to advise senior government stakeholders on architecture, technical risk, and enterprise integration decisions

Nice to have - STEM degree in systems engineering, computer science, software engineering, or related field - Intelligence Community or DoD platform engineering experience - Experience with cloud, hybrid-cloud, air-gapped, or multi-enclave development environments - Familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, OpenShift, or comparable DevSecOps technologies - Background with platform consolidation, software supply-chain security, Zero Trust, or secure cross-domain capabilities
