About this role

Role overview Join a small, collaborative engineering team building the platform enterprises use to understand and govern AI agents. The role blends site reliability engineering with hands-on product development in a culture shaped by Extreme Programming: pairing, small iterations, automated tests, and shipping to real users every week. You will own reliability end-to-end while contributing directly to product features in a fast-moving early-stage environment.

Responsibilities - Build and ship product capabilities for enterprise customers, working closely with stakeholders to design and iterate quickly. - Own the reliability of services you ship, defining health metrics, instrumenting systems, and acting on what the data shows. - Grow the observability, alerting, and incident practice so problems surface early and diagnoses are fast when they occur. - Strengthen infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and automation, including infrastructure as code, repeatable deploys, and fast feedback loops. - Participate in an on-call rota, lead incident response, and convert learnings into durable improvements. - Refactor internal systems, reduce operational toil, and simplify customer workflows through pragmatic technical decisions.

Requirements - Several years of experience writing production-grade software, including both greenfield builds and work on existing systems. - Fluency in at least one of Java, Python, TypeScript, or Rust, with the ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases. - Hands-on on-call experience for systems that mattered, including live debugging and post-incident improvement. - Solid grasp of cloud environments (AWS), containers, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. - Practical knowledge of observability: metrics, logs, traces, and meaningful alerts. - Strong sense of ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to operate in fast-moving environments with evolving tooling.

Nice to have - Familiarity with AI agents, workflow orchestration, or operational automation using modern AI tooling.

Benefits and work setup - Close collaboration with customers and the go-to-market team on a category-defining product. - Heavy internal use of AI agents to dogfood the platform being built.
