Role overview
Join a globally distributed infrastructure team operating the systems that route and execute trades across dozens of centralized and decentralized venues in the digital asset markets. This is a senior hands-on role focused on keeping latency-sensitive, high-throughput trading infrastructure fast, reliable, and secure around the clock. The work spans performance tuning, automation, incident response, and platform engineering in a domain where milliseconds and uptime directly affect business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and harden production trading infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving bottlenecks across compute, network, storage, and application layers. - Operate and evolve highly available, low-latency systems serving global trading load, with a strong emphasis on automation and self-service enablement for internal teams. - Take part in a day-time rotational on-call schedule, leading real-time incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term preventive work. - Build and scale infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and configuration management using Ansible. - Use observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana to detect anomalies, track performance trends, and support incident triage. - Partner with trading, engineering, and security stakeholders to align platform changes with application needs and harden IAM, CI/CD, and threat detection practices.
Requirements
- Five or more years in DevOps or SRE roles supporting high-performance, production-grade systems. - Strong Linux administration skills and proven experience operating AWS at scale. - Production experience with Kubernetes and other container orchestration for containerized workloads. - Solid scripting and automation ability in Python and Bash; familiarity with Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript is welcome. - Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and live incident response. - Working knowledge of Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure-as-code. - Understanding of performance engineering across system and network layers, including tuning, profiling, and capacity planning. - Familiarity with cloud networking, security best practices, IAM, and SIEM tooling.
Nice to have
- Background in crypto or traditional finance trading environments, spanning CeFi or DeFi venues. - Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies. - Experience with supply chain security, secrets management, and hardened build pipelines.
