Senior Software Engineer, Invest / Trade

Role overview This role sits on the invest and trade engineering team of a digital asset platform, building products that handle customer funds, blockchain integrations, and high-performance trading APIs. The team emphasizes rigorous code review, security-first thinking, and shipping correct, well-tested code on the first attempt.

Responsibilities - Design and develop new products and features on the trading platform within a small team of two to eight engineers. - Write automated tests and partner with QA to validate feature correctness. - Contribute technical input during planning, design, and requirements phases. - Review peer code for correctness, style, and security concerns. - Participate in refactoring and upgrade initiatives that keep the codebase healthy and maintainable. - Support production software by responding to occasional alerts and bug reports. - Track and report on risk system performance, and drive processing issues to resolution.

Requirements - At least five years of professional software engineering experience. - Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language; backend work primarily uses Scala and C++, while frontend uses TypeScript. - Ability to work across teams and manage dependencies effectively. - A customer- and product-focused mindset with sound judgment about speed versus quality tradeoffs. - Comfort managing multiple competing priorities alongside peers.

Nice to have - Experience as a power user of Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other blockchain networks. - Background in finance, payments, trading, or exchange systems.
