Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Help reshape a national healthcare system by joining an engineering team that analyzes billions of medical records to surface the best-performing providers for members. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead technical strategy on assigned domains, build AI-assisted software systems, and mentor early-career engineers within a fast-paced AWS and Kubernetes environment built for rapid scaling.

Responsibilities

- Lead technical strategy and decision-making across assigned engineering domains - Build, optimize, and maintain software systems with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted development practices - Mentor and uplevel early-career engineers through coaching, code review, and pair work - Collaborate across disciplines to understand the healthcare domain and iterate on project direction - Protect user privacy and security through best practices and compliant system design

Requirements

- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience - Generalist mindset with willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques quickly - Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents - Ability to learn rapidly and mentor others effectively - Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance considerations - Comfort operating on a high-performing, mission-driven team with intense urgency, individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback

Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, Airflow, dlt, dbt, Python, TypeScript, React, and Go
