Join a mission-driven communications team producing high-impact design and digital work for a global audience. As Special Projects Manager, you will drive diverse projects from initial scoping through completion, coordinating between an external studio and a small in-house team on tight timelines tied to policy moments. This role reports to the Director of Communications and sits at the intersection of creative production, project management, and stakeholder coordination within an independent non-profit focused on steering transformative technologies toward beneficial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a high volume of digital and design projects, including websites, campaign microsites, event identities, reports, and visual assets - Serve as primary liaison between a retained external studio and the in-house team, translating strategic briefs into actionable creative work - Run multi-stakeholder or participatory initiatives such as contests, awards, or grant rounds - Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality assurance across multiple concurrent workstreams - Triage technical issues with CMS platforms and developers to ensure smooth delivery - Apply SEO and digital audience growth strategies to expand campaign and content reach
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing complex digital or communications projects end-to-end - Familiarity with website delivery, including CMS platforms, with enough technical literacy to triage issues and talk credibly with developers - Working knowledge of SEO and digital audience growth, including tools like GA4 and Search Console - Experience running participatory or multi-stakeholder initiatives - Background in nonprofit, policy, advocacy, or campaign environments - Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
