About this role
Role overview Design and operate the security systems platform that protects large, distributed data center campuses. You’ll shape its architecture and build reliable, repeatable infrastructure for physical security, identity, certificates, monitoring, and recovery as new sites come online.
Responsibilities - Set the end-to-end architecture for the security control plane and build its on-site services with cloud management where appropriate. - Automate identity integration, access provisioning and removal, and certificate issuance and renewal. - Create APIs, integrations, and monitoring that surface site health and degradation early. - Replace one-off or vendor-managed deployments with versioned, reproducible systems that can be recovered consistently. - Own backups, disaster recovery, and a non-production environment for validating changes before rollout.
Requirements - Experience designing and operating production virtualization and clustered storage, including tested failover. - Prior responsibility as an architecture decision maker for systems used by other teams. - Hands-on ownership of database availability and recovery, including restoring from backups. - Experience automating PKI and certificate lifecycle management, and integrating identity for automated provisioning and deprovisioning. - Ability to write code and scripts as a regular part of infrastructure work. - Experience replacing bespoke or vendor-managed systems with reproducible infrastructure.
Nice to have - Experience with video management or access control platforms such as Genetec Security Center, Milestone, or Lenel. - Familiarity with Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, Nutanix, failover clustering, or SQL Server Always On. - Experience with AWS management planes and infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC.
