Remote job
Senior Solution Engineer - North America
Job details
About this role
Role overview Serve as a senior, customer-facing technical partner across the sales and delivery lifecycle for industrial software solutions. The role combines discovery and demonstrations with hands-on solution design, deployment, and ongoing customer adoption. It also brings field experience back to product and engineering teams to help distinguish reusable capabilities from customer-specific work.
Responsibilities - Work with sales colleagues to understand customer goals and technical environments, then deliver tailored demonstrations, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept work. - Scope customer use cases, milestones, delivery plans, and measurable success criteria with operations, IT, and OT teams. - Build and deploy integrations, workflows, and custom logic that connect industrial data with enterprise systems. - Move successful demonstrations into production by testing solutions, validating results, and addressing security and reliability needs. - Own technical delivery within the agreed scope; communicate progress and blockers, document designs and configurations, and train customer teams for handover. - Support adoption and expansion by resolving issues, reviewing architectures, identifying further use cases, and sharing recurring needs with product and engineering.
Requirements - At least five years in sales or solution engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or industrial systems integration. - Strong knowledge of industrial automation, manufacturing execution systems, industrial IoT, smart manufacturing, or a related domain. - Demonstrated ability to build and deploy working customer solutions, including integrations, workflow logic, testing, and troubleshooting. - Ability to translate operational challenges into scoped delivery plans and guide customers through deployment, validation, and handover. - Familiarity with technologies such as Node-RED, MQTT, OPC-UA, SCADA, PLCs, or edge computing. - Strong communication and relationship skills across engineering, architecture, operations, and executive audiences; willingness to travel occasionally.
Nice to have - Experience deploying Node-RED at scale or working with Unified Namespace and other industrial data architectures. - Familiarity with containers, cloud platforms, or Linux-based edge devices. - Additional language skills.
Benefits and work setup The source describes a flexible work location and potential startup equity. Occasional travel for key customer engagements is expected.
