Senior IT Systems Engineer

Role overview A global logistics technology company is hiring a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support its SaaS collaboration and endpoint management platforms. The role owns configuration, integration, administration, and day-to-day reliability for the productivity and identity stack used across a hybrid workforce, with a strong emphasis on automation and security. The engineer will act as a Tier 3 escalation point and lead IT engineering projects in partnership with Security, Engineering, HR, and Legal.

Responsibilities - Administer and provide escalation support for the core SaaS collaboration and endpoint platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, Office 365, Confluence, Jira, Okta, Jamf, and Intune. - Implement and maintain policies, software deployment, patching, and security compliance for Mac and Windows endpoints through Jamf and Intune. - Own lifecycle management across collaboration and endpoint management platforms, including onboarding new applications for single sign-on. - Develop automation scripts and workflows in Python, PowerShell, or Okta Workflows to improve administrative efficiency and user experience. - Monitor system health, performance, and usage, and proactively resolve or escalate issues. - Partner with Security, Engineering, HR, and Legal to align SaaS tools with infrastructure, compliance, and investigations needs, including discovery work for HR and Legal matters. - Drive IT engineering projects, vendor management, and product evaluations, and maintain technical operating procedures, policies, and engineering roadmaps.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable practical experience. - 3+ years of experience supporting SaaS collaboration tools and Mac and Windows endpoint management in production. - Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. - In-depth knowledge of email delivery flow, IT security, and identity and access management concepts, including RBAC and permissions models across core SaaS applications. - Scripting and automation experience. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Benefits and work setup - Remote-eligible role with bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and flexible time off. - Disclosed US base salary ranges: $130,000–$172,000 in California; $115,200–$144,000 in Washington and New York City; and $105,600–$132,000 in Colorado and Illinois. Final offer depends on location, skills, and experience.
