About this role
Role overview Own the data foundation that helps customer operations teams understand performance and make decisions. This hands-on staff analytics role shapes warehouse architecture, reusable models, reporting standards, and trusted data for both human teams and AI-enabled workflows, while influencing cross-functional partners without managing them.
Responsibilities - Design and govern the operations data environment in a cloud warehouse, including schemas, access patterns, documentation, and quality standards. - Turn raw data from multiple business areas into tested, reusable dbt models; consolidate duplicate datasets and automate recurring analysis. - Set standards for SQL, modeling, code review, dashboards, and data tests, and help other analysts improve their work. - Lead ambiguous, cross-functional analyses from problem definition through root-cause investigation and decision-ready recommendations. - Present findings and architecture choices to senior leaders, explaining assumptions, risks, and practical implications. - Prepare trusted data for AI agents, assess where automation is appropriate, and monitor agent outcomes against operational goals.
Requirements - At least five years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or strategic operations. - Advanced, hands-on SQL and strong dbt skills, including designing model layers, tests, and data structures. - Experience owning data architecture in a cloud warehouse, preferably Snowflake, with responsibility for governance and quality. - Background partnering with data or analytics engineering teams to produce reliable, production-ready models. - Ability to lead complex projects, build dashboards in a tool such as Sigma or Tableau, and present defensible recommendations to senior stakeholders. - Strong attention to detail and comfort working through ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Nice to have - Experience with AI/ML workflows, agent development, or automation; Python or a similar scripting language. - Familiarity with customer support, fraud, payments, or workforce operations metrics, or work in a high-volume operational environment. - A degree in analytics, computer science, statistics, economics, or a related field.
Benefits and work setup - The listing gives a base salary range of $160,000–$200,000 USD; the applicable range varies by location.
