Job details
About this role
Role overview Own the design and evolution of a large-scale internal platform supporting a global energy technology provider with operations across subsea and surface segments. The role focuses on building secure, reusable platform foundations, scaling AWS-based container workloads, and enabling distributed engineering teams to ship quickly and safely through self-service tooling and golden paths.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain core platform components including SSO, access management, compute clusters, networking, CI/CD, and observability. - Own and evolve Terraform modules, baseline configurations, state-management strategies, and platform guardrails for distributed teams. - Design and manage a multi-account AWS landing zone using AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, and permissions boundaries, and build secure cross-account deployment workflows using GitHub OIDC. - Design, operate, and scale production ECS and EKS clusters supporting more than 100 workloads, including networking, security, resilience, and autoscaling best practices. - Manage centralized networking components such as VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and cross-account connectivity, ensuring secure east-west communication between workloads. - Develop self-service tools, templates, and internal service catalogs that abstract infrastructure complexity, while producing documentation and delivering workshops for engineering teams.
Requirements - Senior-level hands-on experience as a Platform, DevOps, Site Reliability, Infrastructure, or Cloud Engineer operating in complex, multi-account AWS environments. - Advanced Terraform experience at scale, plus hands-on experience with AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, landing zones, IAM, IAM Identity Center, and cross-account governance. - Production experience designing and operating EKS and/or ECS environments supporting more than 100 workloads, with strong Kubernetes and container orchestration skills. - Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines, working with Git and modern source-control workflows, and applying cloud-native architecture principles. - Deep understanding of cloud networking and security, plus experience implementing monitoring, centralized logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and observability solutions. - Programming and scripting ability in one or more languages such as TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, or Bash, combined with strong technical documentation and communication skills. - English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
Nice to have - Experience developing internal developer platforms for large engineering organizations, including service catalogs and standardized deployment pathways. - Familiarity with AWS CDK and integrating team-owned stacks with centrally managed platform services. - Experience with design-thinking methodologies, Agile/Scrum delivery, and supporting developers and data scientists on a shared enterprise platform. - Knowledge of additional cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud, and prior work in the energy industry or other complex global enterprise environments.
Benefits and work setup - Remote work setup with international project exposure. - Medical healthcare, ongoing learning and reimbursement, well-being program, recognition and referral programs, sports compensation, team events, local benefits, and top-tier equipment provision.
