Role overview
Lead product analytics strategy across several high-impact product areas, shaping the questions, metrics, experiments, and recommendations used to guide growth decisions. This is a senior player-coach position combining hands-on analytical work, executive influence, team development, and emerging AI-assisted analytics practices.
Responsibilities
- Set the product analytics charter and identify the highest-leverage questions for product and business teams. - Lead and develop a team of product analysts through hiring, coaching, feedback, and high standards. - Connect analysis across products, experiments, and data sources to identify growth opportunities and strategic bets. - Own experimentation strategy, including test design, guardrails, interpretation, and portfolio-level learning. - Evaluate, refine, and improve AI-generated analyses while establishing reliable standards for human review and judgment. - Influence outcomes such as conversion, retention, and revenue per lead through clear recommendations to product and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Extensive product analytics experience in consumer-facing, high-growth environments, including experience leading or managing analysts. - Strong expertise in experiment design, causal inference, and power analysis. - Ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for executives, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. - Advanced SQL capability and comfort validating data logic, debugging analyses, and reviewing AI-generated work. - Experience with modern analytics tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Amplitude, Hex, or Mode. - Practical experience using AI tools, with sound judgment about their strengths, limitations, and potential for hallucination.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote position. - US base salary range of $184,000–$324,000, varying by location, experience, skills, and education or training.
