Role overview
Manage an analytics team supporting Pricing and Supply functions within a complex travel marketplace. The role combines people leadership, business partnership, analytical rigor, and operating-model design to improve pricing, supplier coverage, marketplace performance, conversion, margin, customer value, and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop approximately eight analysts working on Pricing and Supply priorities. - Partner with Pricing, Supply, Product, and Data leaders to set priorities and connect analytical work to measurable business outcomes. - Create scalable processes for intake, prioritization, stakeholder communication, reusable reporting, and quality standards. - Turn ambiguous commercial questions into analytical plans, dashboards, decision frameworks, experiments, and recommendations. - Help the business understand pricing performance, supplier availability, marketplace dynamics, conversion, margin, customer behavior, and operational levers. - Raise standards for metric definition, data storytelling, root-cause analysis, experimentation, and forecasting while improving analyst development. - Identify weaknesses in data foundations and work with data and analytics engineering teams to improve models, tooling, and self-service capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 7 years in data analytics, business analytics, data science, or a related analytical discipline. - At least 3 years managing, mentoring, and developing analysts or analytics teams. - Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets. - Experience influencing decisions in a high-growth, product-led, marketplace, e-commerce, SaaS, travel, fintech, logistics, or similarly complex environment. - Strong business judgment, with the ability to connect analysis to revenue, margin, customer experience, efficiency, and strategic priorities. - Experience building dashboards, reporting standards, prioritization systems, and scalable analytics processes. - Clear communication skills and a record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong analytical talent.
Nice to have
- Experience with pricing, supply, inventory, procurement, revenue management, marketplace, or commercial strategy teams. - Familiarity with tools such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI. - Exposure to experimentation, forecasting, segmentation, causal analysis, or advanced analytics. - Experience building analytics functions or operating models in a scaling company.
Benefits and work setup
- Base pay range of $144,500–$200,000 USD, with equity for all employees and possible annual bonus eligibility. - Hybrid-hub model, with arrangements varying by role and location; fully remote work may be available for some positions. - Benefits and perks vary according to employment type and location.
