Power Support Manager

Role overview Lead nationwide service operations for a fleet of power-generation equipment, with responsibility for keeping assets available, limiting downtime, and delivering repairs efficiently. The role manages commissioning technicians, service writers, and maintenance technicians while coordinating with field teams, technical specialists, branch leaders, and equipment manufacturers. Responsibilities - Improve equipment availability by reducing repair delays and returning assets to service promptly. - Lead and deploy geographically dispersed service personnel according to fleet needs and customer priorities. - Oversee corrective work, major component replacements, commissioning, startups, and equipment rebuilds. - Maintain accurate work orders, repair records, assignments, and service schedules. - Coordinate parts, warranty claims, external repairs, and manufacturer support to manage delays and costs. - Track service performance, including downtime, repair turnaround, and technician productivity; standardize practices across the fleet.

Requirements - At least 10 years managing service operations in power generation, rental equipment, or a related heavy-equipment field. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Strong knowledge of diesel and natural-gas generators, electrical power systems, and related equipment. - Experience leading dispersed service teams, planning maintenance, managing work orders and fleets, and working with equipment manufacturers. - Strong operational leadership, organization, and troubleshooting skills. - Able to travel nationally up to 25% and work at a desk using a computer for extended periods.
