Software Engineer

Role overview

A founding growth engineering role at a cloud data infrastructure startup that turns enterprise backup data into AI-ready, searchable assets. The engineer sits inside the growth team and uses software, AI, data, and automation to expand pipeline and reach technical buyers. The expectation is to build the playbook rather than inherit one, prototyping systems, distribution channels, and tools that compound over time.

Responsibilities

- Build the technical foundation of the growth engine: automation, AI agents, data pipelines, internal tools, web experiences, and experiments - Develop workflows and agents using LLM APIs, AI coding tools, and custom code to scale demand generation - Connect data across CRM, sales enablement, product, web, and third-party platforms to surface signals and trigger actions - Own the technical side of the company's public website, including personalization, experimentation, and conversion infrastructure - Create free tools, calculators, datasets, or technical resources that technical audiences actually want to use and share - Explore emerging developer ecosystems, marketplaces, and AI platforms as new distribution channels

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience shipping production software end to end - Strong coding ability in Python and/or TypeScript, with comfort across APIs, webhooks, and SQL - Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalents - Experience building with LLM APIs, autonomous agents, or AI-powered workflows - Systems-level understanding of how APIs, data pipelines, automation, and web platforms connect - Demonstrated side projects, open-source work, or experiments that real users engaged with

Nice to have

- Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, ad platform APIs, or marketing automation - Prior exposure to growth, GTM, developer relations, or marketing engineering - Background building tools or products for technical audiences - Active presence in a developer or technical community - Domain experience in cloud infrastructure, data, backup, or security
