Senior Platform Engineer

Role overview Join a small, fully remote engineering team building deep-tech software, including developer tools, communication platforms, and the underlying systems that keep them running. As Senior Platform Engineer, you will own the core platform services and define the technical standards the rest of the organization builds against. The role suits someone who treats production systems as a long-term craft, not just a launch checklist.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and operate the central platform services that product teams depend on. - Establish engineering standards, patterns, and reference implementations that other teams adopt. - Mentor engineers through code review and hands-on guidance on the most consequential changes. - Take ownership of production reliability, performance, and operability for platform components. - Collaborate across teams to ensure the platform scales with product needs.

Requirements - Strong background in systems engineering and distributed systems design. - Demonstrated comfort owning production systems end to end, including on-call and incident response. - Care about software craft: code quality, maintainability, and engineering process. - Ability to review complex changes critically and raise the technical bar for the team. - Self-directed working style suited to a low-meeting, high-ownership environment.
