Senior Offering Manager - Mainframe Managed Services
Job details
About this role
Role overview Shape and commercialize a portfolio of mainframe managed services, turning platform features, automation, and AI-enabled delivery improvements into clearly defined offers customers can buy. The role owns the commercial roadmap and lifecycle, with a focus on packaging, pricing, and repeatable service economics rather than defining the underlying AI capabilities.
Responsibilities - Refine service descriptions, scopes of work, and feature definitions as platform capabilities evolve. - Develop cost and pricing models with pricing, finance, operations, and delivery partners, accounting for automation and AI-driven efficiencies. - Create service packages, tiers, bundles, and SKU structures that support profitable, repeatable delivery. - Translate technical capabilities into client-facing value propositions and practical sales guidance. - Own the portfolio commercialization roadmap and prioritize work by customer value, commercial potential, and delivery feasibility. - Assess third-party technologies for fit, differentiation, packaging, pricing, and impact on margins.
Requirements - Seven to ten or more years in product, offer, or service portfolio management, with ownership of commercial offers in technology or managed services. - Background in managed services, such as mainframe, infrastructure, or SRE, and understanding of how those services are sold and delivered. - Demonstrated success standardizing custom services and developing or influencing pricing models. - Commercial and financial skills, including cost-to-serve analysis and margin improvement. - Ability to explain technical capabilities as clear, marketable customer value. - Familiarity with applying automation and AI efficiencies to service design and economics, plus experience aligning product, finance, and delivery teams.
Benefits and work setup - Remote work is generally available when client-site attendance is not required; flexible scheduling is offered. - Listed annual base pay is $116,000–$168,000. Eligible additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus and an equity grant. - Benefits include paid time off, health coverage, retirement matching, family-forming and parental leave, education support, wellness offerings, and sabbatical leave.
