Senior Product Manager, Payments

Role overview

Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of products supporting payment acceptance, card issuing, and the financial infrastructure behind customer transactions. This senior product role sits at the intersection of fintech, platform technology, and customer experience, requiring close partnership with engineering, design, partnerships, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

- Set product strategy and prioritize a portfolio of payments and financial-platform capabilities from discovery through post-launch improvement. - Expand payment functionality through new payment methods, card programs, and financial partners while balancing immediate outcomes with long-term platform investments. - Work with business-development and product leaders to define and deliver partnerships that strengthen the payments ecosystem. - Coordinate cross-functional teams to turn ideas into reliable products and establish a high standard for execution. - Represent the payments portfolio in executive discussions, customer deep dives, and cross-functional planning forums. - Identify practical uses of AI in product development and create AI-enabled experiences where they materially improve payments, spend management, or financial workflows.

Requirements

- At least 6 years of product-management experience, including substantial work on technical, platform, or backend products. - Experience owning complex systems end to end and delivering products used by other teams or external customers. - Strong technical fluency in architecture, system design, tradeoffs, and execution planning. - Ability to build cross-functional systems from an early stage and scale them with a long-term perspective. - Customer-focused product judgment, especially when infrastructure decisions affect the user experience. - Regular use of AI tools and a clear understanding of where AI creates genuine value for product teams or payment experiences.

Nice to have

- Direct experience with payments, card products, fintech, authorization, settlement, reconciliation, or related financial systems. - Previous delivery of AI-powered product features or operational workflows.

Benefits and work setup
