About this role
Role overview Partner with Marketing/User Acquisition and Commerce teams to turn their priorities into well-defined, measurable work that product and engineering can deliver. Business teams lead discovery and strategy; you find operational friction, clarify the underlying problem, assess value, and keep a shared queue of requests moving transparently from intake through release and evaluation.
Responsibilities - Proactively interview and shadow Marketing, Commerce, and back-office users to uncover problems before they become formal requests. - Maintain one visible intake process and backlog for requests from the partner teams. - Convert loosely defined asks into root-cause problem statements, evidence, and testable hypotheses. - Work with stakeholders and engineering to compare expected impact with effort; combine, reshape, defer, or reject low-value work. - Set transparent priorities, define the smallest useful scope with design and engineering, and document specifications and acceptance criteria. - Coordinate delivery, dependencies, and dates; keep stakeholders informed about progress and trade-offs. - Set a success measure for each request and review post-release results to inform future priorities.
Requirements - At least five years in product management, shipping cross-team work with design and engineering for demanding business stakeholders. - Strong root-cause analysis, including examples of improving on a stakeholder’s proposed solution by identifying the underlying need. - Track record of challenging requests and redirecting effort toward higher-impact outcomes. - Experience balancing competing priorities across at least two business teams. - Proactive discovery habits, including direct conversations with and observation of internal users. - Ownership of outcome metrics, with examples that include a baseline, target, and actual result. - Daily use of AI tools for product specifications, analysis, synthesis, or stakeholder communication. - Clear, concise written and spoken English.
Nice to have E-commerce or marketplace experience; familiarity with SEO, performance marketing, or user acquisition; experience with digital goods or gaming; or work in a lean product team. Comfort translating priorities from business teams that own discovery into shipped results is also useful.
Benefits and work setup The listing describes an employee stock option opportunity, bonus programs, additional paid leave, a learning budget, paid volunteering, and choice of office, remote, or work-and-travel arrangements.
