Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own product strategy and delivery across two areas: financial workflows such as payments and billing, and account management from onboarding through account closure. You’ll lead parallel roadmaps, working with engineering and business teams to improve measurable outcomes such as payment costs, revenue capture, conversion, and fraud losses. This is a senior, hands-on product role in a global commerce and shipping software context.
Responsibilities
- Set and manage roadmaps for finance and account management, connecting initiatives to measurable business results. - Improve payment economics and reliability through payment method choices, provider changes, multi-currency settlement, and analysis of failures, disputes, and chargebacks. - Develop pricing and fee approaches, and improve handling of adjustments and tax invoices across regions. - Own account lifecycle experiences, including verification, permissions, settings, and closure; balance customer access with fraud prevention. - Define and refine onboarding and payment risk controls with Finance, Customer Experience, and Compliance. - Track outcomes such as payment success, transaction costs, dispute rates, revenue leakage, fraud losses, onboarding conversion, and account support demand. - Prioritize across two squads, document requirements and trade-offs, and guide work from MVP through measurement and iteration. - Use AI tools in product discovery, analysis, documentation, and data checks; contribute to raising adoption across the product team.
Requirements
- Seven or more years in product management, including at least three years with payments, billing, or fintech products in B2B software, marketplaces, or e-commerce. - Practical knowledge of payment providers, local payment methods, multi-currency settlement, reconciliation, disputes, and chargebacks. - Familiarity with identity and account products, including KYC/KYB, role-based access, and fraud or risk tooling. - Understanding of VAT/GST invoicing and revenue accounting, with experience partnering closely with Finance. - Evidence of improving business metrics such as cost, revenue, or loss rates, supported by measurable examples. - Experience managing multiple engineering squads or roadmaps, analyzing data directly (SQL or equivalent), and communicating clear, evidence-based decisions. - Demonstrable day-to-day use of AI tools in product work.
