This Solutions Engineer role sits at the crossroads of technology, storytelling, and creativity, supporting an AI platform purpose-built for higher education. The position focuses on translating complex AI agent, automation, and personalization capabilities into compelling narratives and hands-on demonstrations that resonate with college and university leaders. It is a customer-facing pre-sales role that partners closely with account executives, product, and customer success teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver personalized, story-driven product demonstrations tailored to each prospect's institutional goals and challenges - Collaborate with Account Executives to shape demo strategy that highlights differentiation and measurable outcomes - Scope, configure, and deliver time-boxed proof-of-concept engagements, including building and training AI agents, prompt workflows, and knowledge bases - Define and track POC success metrics such as conversion rate, cycle time, and engagement - Translate technical capability into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders - Maintain data security, student-privacy compliance, and accessibility standards across every customer engagement - Build reusable demo assets and champion AI fluency internally
Requirements
- At least four years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting, with SaaS background required - Demonstrated success delivering demos or proof-of-concept projects that influenced engagement and conversion - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and build trust with diverse audiences - Advanced, hands-on fluency with AI tools, including modern large language model assistants and associated workflows - Working knowledge of CRM systems, APIs, data integration patterns, and no-code or low-code platforms
Nice to have
- Background in higher education, admissions, enrollment, or marketing - Experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Slate, or Salesforce - Familiarity with automation and AI engagement platforms (for example, Zapier or conversational AI frameworks) - Prior experience at a competing higher-ed or CRM-focused technology vendor
