About this role
Role overview The Center of Excellence team scales platform expertise across a Customer Success organization, enabling adoption and retention through specialized customer engagements and best-practice development. As a Sr. Managing Architect, you will lead a focused group of subject matter experts while retaining full technical ownership of one or more mission-critical topics such as logs, security, cloud, Kubernetes, developer observability, business analytics, or digital experience management. The role is fundamentally technical: you are expected to remain hands-on, author and defend deliverables, and use your people-leadership responsibility as a multiplier to grow depth across the team.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end technical leadership for one or more mission-critical topics, producing deliverables that scale expertise across Customer Success - Write, review, and defend best practices, reference models, and solution methodologies adopted in the field - Lead and mentor a team of architects and consultants, deliberately growing technical depth so expertise does not depend on a single individual - Partner with stakeholders across Customer Success, R&D, and Sales Engineering to align assets with strategic initiatives - Lead or support customer engagements and pilots alongside account teams, extracting verified learnings - Build effective customer feedback loops and relay prioritized insights back to product teams - Assess and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks that enhance customer engagement
Requirements - Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience - 5+ years working as a consultant or architect on highly technical, agile teams - 2+ years leading technical people, whether through formal line management or sustained team-lead accountability - Hands-on experience with modern deployment automation, scripting, and IaaS/PaaS/container/serverless cloud technologies - Working knowledge of cloud-native application design and modern software engineering processes - Demonstrated experience developing and promoting best practices, methodologies, and governance frameworks - Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have - Experience with the enterprise software sales process - Willingness to travel up to roughly 25% as needed
Benefits and work setup - Salary range of 150,000 USD to 205,000 USD, depending on experience - Competitive compensation tied to performance - Company-sponsored premium benefits including medical, dental, vacation/holidays, and a company-matching 401(k) plan - Equal Opportunity employer; all applications handled confidentially under EEO guidelines
