Principal Systems Integration Consultant

Role overview

A senior technical architect role embedded in a Center of Excellence, responsible for scaling platform expertise across a post-sales customer success organization. The position acts as a Subject Matter Expert in observability and monitoring domains, driving customer adoption, retention, and value realization through knowledge transfer, best-practice development, and direct customer engagement.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate across post-sales field teams, product engineering, and sales engineering on strategic initiatives - Provide Subject Matter Expertise in areas such as logs, security, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, developer observability, business analytics, and digital experience management - Own mission-critical topic domains end-to-end, creating deliverables and reference assets that scale expertise organization-wide - Develop, document, and promote best practices, reference architectures, and solution methodologies - Synthesize technical resources from multiple sources into executable strategies for customer engagements - Lead or support customer pilots and engagements alongside existing account teams - Assess and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to strengthen customer outcomes - Mentor peers and provide technical leadership, supporting skill development and knowledge sharing - Contribute to thought leadership assets and broader enablement activities

Requirements

- Technical degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar) or equivalent professional experience - 5+ years as a consultant or architect on highly technical, agile teams - 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise observability or monitoring platforms (such as Datadog or Splunk) as an end user, administrator, or implementer - Experience with modern deployment automation tools, scripting, and DevOps practices - Working knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, container, and serverless technologies across major cloud providers - Practical experience designing cloud-native applications and architectures - Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment and execute projects with minimal supervision

Nice to have

- Familiarity with the enterprise software sales process - Background developing governance frameworks, methodologies, and reusable reference models - Experience with modern software engineering processes and continuous delivery pipelines
