Role overview This Solutions Engineer role covers the Michigan and Ohio territory, partnering with sales teams to deliver technical expertise on an advanced observability and application performance monitoring platform. The engineer owns product demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, and customer relationships while translating complex technical value into clear business outcomes for prospects and clients.
Responsibilities - Evangelize the platform's capabilities at trade shows, key account meetings, and partner events to drive new and expansion business - Collaborate with sales representatives to surface net-new opportunities and incremental revenue within existing accounts - Lead proof-of-concept creation and cloud architecture discussions, supporting sales either directly or through channel partners - Present platform vision and use cases to C-suite executives and senior technical stakeholders - Provide hands-on technical guidance through the discovery, solution evaluation, and proposal phases of the sales cycle - Deliver on-stage demonstrations at industry events and gather qualified customer feedback to inform product management decisions - Act as a trusted advisor and technical coach for partner teams supporting customer engagements
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education or experience - 3+ years of experience within the observability or application performance monitoring space - Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus programming or scripting languages such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, or Node.js - Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems - Hands-on experience with DevOps or SRE practices and major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP - Experience with modern technologies like containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines, plus automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
