Solutions Engineer

Role overview As a Solutions Engineer, you help sales teams and customers assess how observability technology can address technical and business needs. You shape evaluations from discovery through proof of concept and proposal, explain solutions to both technical teams and executives, and collaborate with internal specialists and partners.

Responsibilities - Partner with sales representatives to identify new opportunities and expand existing customer engagements. - Lead technical evaluations, including proof-of-concept planning, cloud architecture discussions, troubleshooting, and remote or onsite demonstrations. - Present solution value to customer executives and technical stakeholders, including at industry and partner events. - Respond to information and proposal requests, and guide customers through discovery, evaluation, and solution design. - Share customer feedback with product teams and act as a technical resource for partners and colleagues.

Requirements - At least three years of experience in observability or application performance management; prior solutions engineering or other customer-facing technical work is relevant. - A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent education or experience. - Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes. - Ability to troubleshoot issues, manage several concurrent evaluations, and collaborate across teams. - Self-motivation, adaptability, a willingness to learn, and readiness to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have - Experience with web technologies, programming or scripting, databases, and Windows or Linux systems. - Familiarity with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, public cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, serverless, and CI/CD. - Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
