Solutions Engineer

Role overview A Solutions Engineer position focused on observability and application performance monitoring technology, embedded with a sales organization to drive technical pre-sales success. The role involves running demos, leading proof-of-concept engagements, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise prospects across multiple concurrent opportunities. This is a customer-facing, sales-aligned role combining deep technical expertise with strong business-value communication.

Responsibilities - Deliver compelling product demonstrations that translate technical capabilities into clear business value for prospects and existing accounts. - Plan and execute proof-of-concept evaluations, including cloud architecture discussions, both onsite and remote. - Respond to RFIs and RFPs, providing thorough technical documentation and answers. - Present to C-suite executives and on-stage at industry events, trade shows, and partner-sponsored conferences. - Partner with sales representatives and channel partners to uncover new opportunities and expand within existing accounts. - Relay qualified customer feedback to product management to inform roadmap and market fit.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience. - 3–5 years of experience with observability or application performance management technologies. - Previous experience in a pre-sales solution engineering or other technical customer-facing role. - Strong troubleshooting ability with a track record of producing working outcomes. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convert technical detail into business value. - Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time. - Fluent in Dutch.

Nice to have - Hands-on experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and programming/scripting stacks such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, and databases. - Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. - Familiarity with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Experience with containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
