About this role
Role overview A Lead Data Product Owner role within a Data & Analytics organization building a scalable, AI-ready, self-service data ecosystem. The position owns a portfolio of data products serving the Customer domain — Customer Success, Support, and Product — with downstream use by Sales, bridging business strategy with analytics engineering to ensure canonical, trusted data assets.
Responsibilities - Own a portfolio of Customer domain data products end to end, accountable for reliability, value, and adoption - Independently lead projects that advance the domain's data maturity, from problem definition through adoption - Shape the Customer data product roadmap and prioritize by adoption and business value - Collaborate with the GTM analytics engineering squad to influence what is built and how, including data mart architecture, metric definitions, and reporting requirements - Define requirements for reliable data flows, including metric consistency and lineage across shared GTM assets - Partner with Customer Success, Support, and Product leaders to shape and draft requirements rather than simply relay them, driving alignment on business and data definitions - Oversee data quality, SLAs, governance, and customer-data privacy/PII handling, and ensure outputs remain consumable by Sales - Drive discoverability and data literacy, aligning with peer data product owners across G&A and GTM
Requirements - Demonstrated track record working in a strategic product ownership capacity - Strong Customer, product, and GTM domain knowledge - Experience shaping data mart architecture, metric definitions, and reporting requirements and navigating design tradeoffs - Familiarity with SaaS/B2B customer metrics such as NRR, GRR, churn, expansion, and customer health scores - Experience with product usage and consumption data, including telemetry, feature adoption, and license utilization - Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and tools like JIRA
Nice to have - Background with product analytics or in-app engagement tools such as Pendo, Amplitude, or similar platforms - Prior work standing up or scaling a data product management capability
Benefits and work setup - Remote-eligible position within Canada; all candidates must work EST hours - Compensation range of $105K CAD–$140K CAD, plus health, dental, life, STD/LTD, 401K, and PTO; total compensation may vary based on experience, education, and location - Stock purchase options and access to a global, innovation-focused team with relocation support
