Associate Data Engineer

Role overview This role sits on an enterprise data team and blends data engineering with business intelligence and AI-assisted development. The focus is designing reliable cloud data pipelines, delivering trusted Power BI reporting, and translating stakeholder questions into well-structured analytical outputs.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines that move data from source systems into a cloud data warehouse. - Write clean, well-documented SQL to transform raw data into analyst-ready models and reporting layers. - Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using star schemas, DAX measures, and performance optimization. - Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and implement proactive alerting to safeguard data availability. - Partner with business stakeholders to scope reporting requirements and convert ambiguous asks into structured deliverables. - Champion reusable semantic layers that enable self-serve analytics.

Requirements - Hands-on experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in a cloud warehouse environment. - Strong SQL skills with attention to performance, documentation, and modeling standards. - Practical Power BI experience including data modeling, DAX, and report performance tuning. - Ability to collaborate with non-technical partners and translate business needs into data solutions. - Comfort using AI tools such as LLM assistants or copilots to accelerate development and documentation.

Nice to have - Familiarity with applying AI or agentic workflows to data engineering tasks beyond code assistance. - Experience defining or enforcing team-wide data modeling and naming conventions.
