Product Engineer (EU/UK Based - Remote)

Role overview

A fast-moving team is building an AI operations platform that lets autonomous agents run end-to-end work across enterprise systems for retail and consumer goods organizations. The product combines governance, human-in-the-loop approvals, and learning loops so business users can specify outcomes while agents handle execution across UIs and APIs. As Product Engineer, you will own complete features—from UI to API, data layer, and deployment—and measure their impact against customer-facing metrics.

Responsibilities

- Take ambiguous product requirements and ship full-stack features to production within short weekly cycles - Define MVP scope, select the metrics that matter, and discontinue work that doesn't move customer outcomes - Build interfaces and backend services that interact with large language model outputs, including parsing agent responses and designing approval flows for exceptions - Collaborate proactively with product and design to align on what gets built and how it feels in users' hands - Operate across the stack: TypeScript and React front end, Fastify APIs, a PostgreSQL data layer, and cloud deployment on GCP - Surface the next problem worth solving through customer feedback, competitor analysis, and direct user conversations

Requirements

- Track record of repeatedly shipping user-facing features end-to-end with high ownership, without waiting to be told what to build next - Strong product judgment, including the ability to scope MVPs, choose the right metric, and cut work that isn't delivering value - Hands-on comfort building alongside AI systems—for example orchestrating LLM calls, parsing agent outputs, or wiring human-in-the-loop review steps - Attention to product quality beyond whether something works, including visual polish, interaction feel, and reliability details - Low-ego, team-first collaborator who gives and receives direct feedback and unblocks themselves and others - Ability to define your own scope in a fast-moving environment and ship meaningful work within roughly a week

Nice to have

- Production experience with security, reliability, or compliance considerations in enterprise systems - Background designing or operating scalable, distributed systems at meaningful load - Applied LLM skills such as evaluation design, prompt engineering, safety guardrails, and cost optimization - Experience designing interfaces specifically for AI-assisted workflows—confidence signals, exception handling, and human review surfaces
