Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Role overview A senior DevOps engineering role owning the AWS infrastructure that powers a global SaaS platform serving the hospitality industry. The position blends cloud architecture, reliability engineering, and security-first practices, with explicit room to evaluate AI tooling that reduces operational toil across DevOps and SRE workflows.

Responsibilities - Design and operate scalable AWS infrastructure supporting migrations, platform growth, and customer reliability needs - Own production reliability, performance, and security, including incident response and proactive capacity planning - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and configuration management tooling - Drive observability through metrics, dashboards, and alerting playbooks designed to anticipate incidents - Champion security-first infrastructure practices, including vulnerability management and SOC 2 compliance work - Partner with engineering teams on architecture decisions and embed operational requirements into the development lifecycle - Lead on-call response, complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and durable remediation

Requirements - 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering - Deep hands-on AWS experience across IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail, including multi-account setups and SSO - Proficiency with Terraform plus configuration management tooling such as Chef or Ansible - CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Jenkins, and GitOps methodologies - Container and orchestration experience with Docker, ECS, or EKS - Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog - Reading proficiency across Java, Ruby, Bash/Zsh, HCL, Python, and JavaScript - Comfort with a weekly on-call rotation

Nice to have - Migration experience from on-prem or colocation to AWS - Familiarity with Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, and .NET environments - MongoDB replica set administration - ISO 27001, Layer 7 load balancing, or Terragrunt knowledge - Background in hospitality technology
