Role overview
A mobile-first Product Design Lead is needed to shape the experience of a two-sided sports content subscription marketplace. The role focuses on helping creators build subscription businesses while making it easier for fans to discover, subscribe to, and engage with those creators. This is a hands-on design leadership position with meaningful influence over product direction, partnering closely with product, engineering, and creator-facing teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead design from discovery through launch and iteration, covering user flows, prototypes, visual design, and implementation review - Improve core fan journeys including discovery, subscription, onboarding, content access, engagement, and renewal - Design creator-side tools for launching offerings, communicating with subscribers, understanding performance, and growing their business - Partner with engineers to deliver practical mobile experiences - Use AI and rapid prototyping tools to explore ideas and accelerate learning - Raise the bar for product craft through clear design thinking and constructive feedback across teams
Requirements
- Significant experience designing and shipping digital products, with a portfolio spanning problem definition through launch and iteration - Strong interaction and visual design skills across responsive web and mobile - Background with consumer subscriptions, marketplaces, creator tools, commerce, or similarly complex multi-user products - Strong product judgment connecting user needs to business goals and prioritizing high-impact opportunities - Comfort working close to users with incomplete information in a fast-moving environment - A collaborative working relationship with engineers and understanding of how design translates to production - Fluency with Figma and prototyping tools, plus curiosity about emerging design tools - Willingness to stay hands-on while shaping the quality of work beyond your own projects
