Job details
About this role
Role overview Join a fast-growing AI company as a Working Student focused on Brand & Visual Design. You will own day-to-day brand stewardship, producing the visuals commercial and scientific teams need and translating complex science into clear designs for technical audiences. This is a hands-on B2B design role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment where briefs evolve and multiple requests run in parallel.
Responsibilities - Maintain and extend master templates (PowerPoint, one-pagers, Word documents) so every team works from the same standard. - Keep the asset library (icons, graphics, imagery) organized, current, and easy to use. - Review outgoing materials for brand consistency and resolve issues before they reach customers. - Design and refine pitch decks, product one-pagers, and fact sheets for sales and partnerships teams. - Create and update website graphics and page visuals, plus social visuals and event materials such as brochures, posters, roll-ups, and banners. - Produce short videos and motion graphics for social, website, and product demos. - Build visuals for internal presentations and all-hands, and turn scientific content into diagrams and explainer graphics. - Test and document AI-assisted design workflows the wider team can reuse.
Requirements - Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's programme in Communication Design, Media Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field. - Portfolio from studies, personal projects, or freelance work that includes B2B, editorial, or information design. - Trained eye for typography, spacing, grids, and visual hierarchy. - Confident with professional design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Canva; curious about AI design tools. - Organised and reliable with deadlines and feedback rounds; asks questions early when briefs are unclear. - Clear written and spoken English.
Nice to have - Examples of event or print design (brochures, posters, roll-ups, banners). - Video editing or motion design skills (e.g. After Effects, Premiere Pro). - Opinions on design tooling and ways of working. - German language skills; interest in science, life sciences, or AI (no scientific background required).
Benefits and work setup - Flexible hours around studies (around 15–20 hours per week), hybrid from Berlin or remote. - Modern Berlin office, monthly happy hours, and social allowance. - Three office days per year at the Berlin HQ or another European location. - Monthly wellness budget and strong learning and development opportunities.
