Senior Software Engineer - BackEnd

Role overview Build and operate backend capabilities for a production data quality platform, helping customers improve the reliability and usefulness of their data. You’ll collaborate with product and frontend colleagues, own features through release, and contribute to technical architecture as the platform evolves.

Responsibilities - Deliver backend features across design, architecture, implementation, and production deployment. - Extend a multi-platform application with data quality and data improvement capabilities. - Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teammates to deliver customer-facing outcomes. - Make technical decisions that account for system scale, reliability, and maintainability. - Maintain quality through clear code, testing, reviews, and shared responsibility for production changes.

Requirements - At least five years building and operating production backend systems. - Three or more years using Python in service-oriented or microservice architectures. - Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. - Proven judgment in complex systems, balancing scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Familiarity with collaborative development practices such as Git and code review. - Strong written and spoken English, plus practical interest in using LLM coding assistants. - Valid authorization to work in the EU.

Nice to have - Experience with Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, identity or authorization systems, AWS, or Kubernetes. - Familiarity with large-scale data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks, and current language models. - Experience working in a fast-paced startup.
