Role overview
The Lead Solution Consultant partners with field sales teams to understand complex customer challenges, business processes, and enterprise architectures, then shape integrated solutions around those needs. The role combines strategic discovery, technical credibility, consultative selling, and persuasive storytelling to demonstrate how agreement workflows can be modernized. This is an individual contributor position serving enterprise stakeholders across business and technical functions in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales partners to develop and win new business within assigned territories and target accounts. - Discover, analyze, and document complex business problems, operational processes, and enterprise technology landscapes. - Lead business and technical conversations with stakeholders at different organizational levels and across multiple business units. - Build confidence in proposed solutions through tailored demonstrations, technical Q&A, process diagrams, product expertise, and roadmap discussions. - Explain recommendations and their business value to audiences with varying technical backgrounds. - Coordinate with sales and internal teams to create a high-quality buying experience and apply value-based selling methods.
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience in mid-market or enterprise pre-sales for SaaS solutions. - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant professional experience. - Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with technical and business stakeholders. - Experience connecting customer requirements to solution design and business outcomes.
Nice to have
- Ten or more years of enterprise or mid-market SaaS pre-sales experience, particularly with cloud-based offerings. - Experience delivering software demonstrations both virtually and in person. - Ability to prepare workflow diagrams, proposals, statements of work, RFP responses, and RFI responses. - Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and content management systems. - Understanding of web services, SOAP and REST APIs, HTML, XML, structured data, and electronic signature concepts.
