About this role

Role overview Join a remote-first engineering organization as a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Infrastructure team, where you will design and ship the data platform that powers analytics, business intelligence, and product insights across the company. The role blends hands-on systems work with technical leadership, partnering with stakeholders in product, engineering, finance, marketing, and executive functions to deliver reliable, scalable data capabilities.

Responsibilities - Architect core components of a cloud-based data platform and define technical direction for the team - Design and build scalable data infrastructure using Snowflake, AWS, Airflow, DBT, and Sigma - Develop end-to-end batch and real-time pipelines that handle high-volume user activity - Build data transformations, models, and APIs that enable self-service analytics and downstream integrations - Partner with data scientists, analysts, finance, sales, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions - Strengthen platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, data quality checks, automated testing, and disaster recovery planning - Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, run technical interviews, and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements - 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on data engineering - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience - Strong Snowflake expertise, including SQL tuning, performance optimization, and cost management - Production experience with DBT for modeling, transformation, and testing - Hands-on experience orchestrating pipelines with Apache Airflow - Familiarity with a modern BI platform such as Sigma for self-service analytics - Production work with AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Lambda, or Kinesis - Proficiency in Python and SQL, plus infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices - Track record designing distributed data systems with an eye for performance and cost

Nice to have - Experience with stream processing, event-driven architectures, and real-time data systems - Knowledge of data governance, security standards, and privacy frameworks such as GDPR or CCPA
