Software Engineer (Observability Migration)

Role overview Lead a migration of application and infrastructure monitoring from an existing observability platform to an OpenTelemetry Collector-based architecture. The work spans instrumentation, deployment configuration, and validation, with the goal of preserving reliable visibility into traces, metrics, and logs throughout the transition.

Responsibilities - Move application instrumentation, tracing, and telemetry configuration to OpenTelemetry. - Update YAML files, environment variables, and deployment manifests to match the target architecture. - Run tests and validation checks to confirm telemetry is generated, transformed, and exported correctly. - Compare existing monitoring data with OpenTelemetry output to find missing signals or resource attributes. - Help maintain monitoring coverage during the migration.

Requirements - Senior software engineering experience with observability or telemetry migrations. - Practical knowledge of OpenTelemetry and collector-based architectures. - Ability to work with application instrumentation, YAML configuration, environment variables, and deployment manifests. - Experience validating software changes and investigating gaps in traces, metrics, logs, or resource attributes. - Advanced English proficiency (C1). - Full-time focus during agreed working hours; additional professional activities must be disclosed and must not interfere.
