Role overview
A three-month internship centered on building real web features that reach actual users, not throwaway exercises. The work stretches across interface, API, and database layers, with mentorship from senior engineers throughout.
Responsibilities
- Ship small, well-scoped features across the stack using Next.js and React on the front end and Node.js services on the back end. - Model and query data for live project work, getting comfortable with how data flows through a real application. - Submit pull requests for review, respond to feedback, and iterate on code based on senior engineer input. - Use AI coding tools daily to move faster while keeping standards high.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, React, and at least one backend framework. - At least one completed full-stack project you can walk through and explain. - Availability for the entire three-month period, with a few hours of overlap with the team each day. - Clear written communication, since coordination happens asynchronously in writing.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Next.js, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. - Comfort with Git workflows and the pull request review process. - Any deployed side project, however small, that shows follow-through beyond coursework.
