Role overview
A generalist engineering position focused on shipping complete product features, from data layer through API to the screens real customers use. The work spans both server-side and interface code, and the role involves regular, direct contact with designers and clients to translate product thinking into working software.
Responsibilities
- Deliver features end to end across a modern web stack: a React/Next.js front end, Node.js services behind an HTTP interface, and a relational database underneath. - Collaborate closely with designers and client stakeholders to convert product plans into shipped functionality. - Write maintainable, well-tested code that other engineers can pick up and extend without friction. - Use AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow to move quickly and keep quality high. - Contribute to technical decisions with reasonable autonomy, weighing trade-offs rather than waiting for direction.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience shipping production web applications. - Working comfort with React or Next.js on the client, Node.js on the server, and a relational database for persistence. - Ability to read a product brief and make sound technical calls without heavy oversight. - Strong written communication skills, since the role involves direct client conversation.
Nice to have
- TypeScript across the stack. - Familiarity with GraphQL as an alternative to REST. - Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
