Senior Full Stack Engineer, Post Order Experience

Role overview Senior full stack engineer on the Post-Order Experience squad for a chef-driven meal marketplace, owning the moments after a customer checks out. The team's scope covers managing, rescheduling, skipping, pausing, and canceling subscriptions, plus understanding the drivers behind churn, while turning operational complexity into journeys that feel intuitive and trustworthy. The role reports to an engineering manager and works inside a Backend-for-Frontend architecture that powers a Server-Driven UI service.

Responsibilities - Design and implement customer-facing features across the ReactJS, Kotlin/Java, GraphQL, and MySQL stack, contributing directly as a hands-on coder. - Build and maintain the SDUI service within the BFF architecture, along with supporting backend services and databases. - Iterate on existing and new features to improve user experience and performance, raising the maturity of the technical stack. - Participate in code review and mentor other engineers, while promoting strong software architecture and engineering best practices. - Partner with Product, Growth, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations to refine the product in an agile process. - Support the on-call rotation to maintain high uptime for a 24/7 service and report status, risks, and strategy to senior management.

Requirements - At least five years of experience as a software engineer working on ReactJS, Kotlin/Java, GraphQL, and MySQL. - Experience designing and building cloud architecture, backends, middle ends, and web applications end to end. - Strong knowledge of service-oriented architectures and REST API design. - Experience implementing and maintaining unit tests and end-to-end tests, plus continuous integration. - Advanced level of English and ability to leverage generative AI to improve output quality and speed.

Nice to have - DevOps tooling experience including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. - React Native experience. - Background in the food technology sector.
